How You Can Help The Maclab Centre

The Maclab Centre is a busy place! Here are some ways you can contribute to the arts in your community:

Volunteer!

We are currently recruiting volunteers for the Maclab Centre Front-of-House Team.
If you enjoy being on the front-line of an exciting evening of entertainment, meeting people and making new friends, then join the Volunteer FOH Team!

 

Volunteer Positions

• Ticket Taker - Will take tickets at the entrance of the theatre and assist with patron questions.
• Usher - Will be knowledgeable of the MCPA seating plan and will assist patrons to their seats. May also handout programs and seat latecomers
• Coatcheck Attendant -Will assist with the hanging of patron's coats and distribution of claim tags
• Concession - Will assist with the sale of snacks and pop to patrons before and during intermission of a performance. Handling money is required.
• Bar - Must be 18 years of age for this position. Will serve alcoholic beverages to patrons before and during intermission of a performance. Handling money is required.

Donate!

In addition to your time, you can also donate funds or materials.

Monetary donations made by private individuals now go further than before thanks to the Alberta Government's Community Spirit Donation Grant Program. Under the program, the provincial government will match private donations up to $25,000 per year! Your donation will be worth twice as much to the Maclab Centre, and will go toward operations, programming or capital purchases.
